Before taking the decision of resignation, the leaders will meet party office-bearers of the national unit at Delhi. The reason for their resentment is that some leaders of a particular group are being favoured and others have been deprived.

Vilas Muttemwar, Avinash Pandey, MLA Dr Nitin Raut, MLA Vikas Thakre, MLC Abhijit Vanjari, Anees Ahmed, Ramkishan Ojha, Purushottam Hazare, Girish Pandav, Bunty Shelke, Prashant Dhawad, Vishal Muttemwar, Umakant Agnihotri, Atul Kotecha, Prafulla Gudadhe, Deepak Katole, and Rajkumar Kamnani are included in the MPCC list.

The disgruntled group of Congress leaders in Nagpur City feel they are excluded from the list of State representatives of MPCC. These leaders have openly come out against MPCC President Nana Patole for favouring one particular group. This group recently met under the leadership of former MLC S Q Zama.

According to the group, while selecting State Representatives, Party did not conduct any election which is undemocratic. The disgruntled elements in the party alleged that the dictatorship of local leaders is trying to finish the party in the city and this is happening with the support of Patole. The group has decided to send a delegation to Delhi which would meet the party’s Chief Election Officer Madhusudan Mistry and other senior party leaders. The leaders who took part in the meeting include Jia Patel, Tanaji Wanve, Sanjay Dube, Shakoor Nagani, Kamlesh Samarth, Khan Naidu, Krishnakumar Pandey, Hukumchand Amdhare, Chandrapal Chouksey, Vasant Gadge, Kishor Jichkar, Sanjay Kadu, Vilas Bhalekar and others.

Narendra Jichkar, Dr Ashish Deshmukh too were invited for the meeting but they could not attend. The group pointed out that Congress has declared a list of 18 representatives of 18 Blocks which did not include names of the leaders from Satish Chaturvedi and Nitin Raut groups. No one is taken from Women Congress and Sevadal. The group expressed that every section of the party should get proper representation. Most people from this group said that people from one family have been included in the list.

They also warned that if the party fails to provide justice, it would knock on the doors of Election Commission and Court. After conducting party polls online for two months and creating 1.5 lakh members, now they are creating a one-sided list and opposed the offline election. Some leaders alleged that the conspiracy is being planned to finish the City Congress.
