Dr Ambedkar College, Shivaji Science, Hislop, Dharampeth, Somalwar most sought-after institutions by students
Nagpur: The School Education and Sports Department of Maharashtra Government has declared the first list of allotment of colleges to students in Nagpur on Wednesday. Students, if willing to take admissions to the allotted ones, have to do it before August 6.
If one takes a look at the cut-off percentage then one would notice that Dr Ambedkar College, Deekshabhoomi; Shivaji Science, Hislop, Dharampeth Science, Somalwar Junior College have been the most sought-after institutions by the students.
In the first list, 17,457 students figured who have got the colleges as per their order of merit. After their admissions are done, the department will announce a second list. To get the admission to various courses 23,628 students have applied. There are 40,168 seats mainly for General Science, Commerce, Arts, MCVC and some others. The admission process for bifocal courses like Electronics, Computer Science, Fisheries will be conducted later on.
