4 goons booked for threatening, extorting money from bar owner in Nandanvan

Nagpur: Nandanvan police have booked four goons who doled out life threats and extorted Rs 25,000 every month as ‘haptha’ from a beer bar owner. The criminals the money for the past 11 years.

The accused goons have been identified as Firoze Khan alias Abu Aziz Khan, Abdul Sattar Abdul Subhan (40), Akrambhai Tirri (35), all residents of Motha Tajbagh and Mahadeo Kak.

A resident of Om Nagar, Sakkardara Square, Sandeep Nandlal Kamble (42), told police that he runs a beer bar named V-2 Bar and Restaurant at Adarsh Nagar, Motha Tajbagh, Umred Road. The four accused doled out life threats to Sandeep Kamble and demanded Rs 25,000 ‘haptha’ every month from him for running the beer bar. Scared by the threats, Kamble gave Rs 25,000 every month to the four accused from the year 2011 till August 2022.

Nandanvan Woman ASI Savita Yadav, based on the complaint lodged by Sandeep Kamble, booked the four accused under Sections 386, 34 of the IPC and probing the matter further. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
