Nagpur: A tigress was found dead in a nullah near Chandrakapur village under Hingna Police Station here, on Friday night. Though, the exact reason behind the death could not be confirmed immediately, sources predict that prima facie electrocution could the reason behind the wild cat’s death.
According to sources, some villagers had first sighted the tigress lying unconscious near the nullah. Following which they alerted local cops. Acting swiftly on the inputs, the squad of Hingna Police and Forest Department rushed to the spot. They have conducted panchanama and sent the tigress’s body for autopsy.

Villagers have installed electrical net to save their crops from warthog. The tigress appeared to came in contact with these live wires and died, sources said.
