Kanhan firing case: MSF jawan dies of bullet injuries

Nagpur: The Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) jawan, who was critically injured after shots were fired at him by a suspended Army jawan, succumbed at a hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Milind Samadhan Khobragade (29), a native of Akola. It may be mentioned that Sameer Siddiqui (29), a resident of Kolari Tekdi and Rahul Jacob (26), a resident of Kandri were arrested by the police. Sameer, with a history of criminal record, was suspended from the Army. The firing incident took place on Saturday at 3.30 pm. Sameer and Jacob were moving in the WCL area on a two-wheeler. Milind grew suspicious and objected to them. A heated exchange of words took place between them. As the arguments escalated to physical fight, Sameer took out a mouser gun and fired shots at Milind. He received bullet injuries on head and stomach. Milind collapsed on the ground in the pool of blood. He was taken to the hospital where he died during treatment on Wednesday.

According to police, the accused fired the first shot during the scuffle. The bullet pierced through Milind’s stomach. As a result, he collapsed on the ground. The assailants then fired another shot at his head.
