Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Monday said that Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s arrest shows that the ruling BJP at the Centre is trying to silence the opposition leaders raising their voices against the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
Raut said, “Action against Sisodia shows Centre is trying to silence the Opposition. We’ll stand with him. Be it Maharashtra, Jharkhand, or Delhi the Centre is misusing ED & CBI to send opposition leaders to jail or force them to surrender. Be it Sisodia, Nawab Malik, Anil Deshmukh and myself…Are there seers in BJP?”
Raut added, “The way BJP is arresting Opposition Leaders, I dread, what will happen to BJP leaders in future when they will be out of power. What if they are similarly persecuted/arrested? Who will come to their help?”

Shortly after Manish Sisodia`s arrest, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said honest and nationalist people are being arrested nationwide. Kejriwal and his wife also reached Deputy CM Manish Sisodia`s residence soon after Sisodia`s arrest. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also reached Sisodia`s residence and assured her of full support.
