Nagpur/Mumbai: The last phase of Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Mahamarg from Ghoti to Bhiwandi is going to start in December. Such instructions have been given to MSRDC by the State Government. A senior official of MSRDC said thatLok Sabha elections are in April 2024 and Assembly elections will be held in October 2024. Before that, the government intends to open this entire highway for the public.
Currently Nagpur to Shirdi 501 km stage is open. Construction from Shirdi to Bhiwandi stretch is still going on. The most important reason for this is that 12 tunnels and 16 small bridges have to be constructed in the Sinnar to Kasara phase. The last phase from Igatpuri to Amne village near Bhiwandi will be completed by the end of December.
