The court’s decision sends a clear message that wasting the court’s time with frivolous petitions will not be tolerated. The accused’s actions not only wasted the court’s time but also delayed the delivery of justice for the victim’s family. The court’s decision will serve as a deterrent to others who might be tempted to file such petitions in the future.
