The police rushed the grievously injured teenager to Mayo Hospital for medical treatment where he succumbed to the injuries. The investigators are struggling to piece together the events that led to the tragic incident. The police are currently trying to determine whether the teenager walked to the Mangalwari Bazar point on the flyover himself or got a lift from someone.

The police have questioned Vaibhav’s mother and sister, who reside near Chhatrapati Square. However, their statements did not provide any immediate insight into the situation. Similarly, the staff members of the Balsadan Anathashram also are undergoing questioning as the police suspect that some incident at the orphanage might have played a role in the teen’s decision to end his life.

The police are exploring the possibility of underlying mental health issues, depression, or anger that could have driven the young boy to such a devastating action. Police Inspector Vinod Rahangdale said, the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of the teenager would be unravelled only after proper questioning of the staffers of the orphanage.

Sadar police have registered a case of accidental death.
