Nagpur: A teenage boy was murdered over old enmity in Dongargaon area under Hingna police jurisdiction on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Saksham Kailas Tinkar (17), resident of Shirul, Ridhora, Hingna, Nagpur district. The murder was committed by accused Saurabh alias Badshah Bastaram Pandhram (19), resident of Rajaram Nagar, Wardha Road, Nagpur and seven juvenile delinquents. The deceased Saksham and accused Saurabh were students of Santaji College, situated at Chhatrapati Square, Nagpur.
According to police, an old feud was going on between the deceased and the accused. To settle the dispute, other accused namely Vishal Panchbudhe and his accomplices called Saksham and his friend Mausam Ramteke in Dongargaon area around 2 pm on Monday. The accused first indulged in abusing and beating Saksham and Mausam. Later, the accused attacked Saksham with a wooden stick, knife and cutter and injured him critically. He was rushed to AIIMS Nagpur. However, Saksham succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment around 10.30 pm.
Hingna PSI Virendra Bhosale, based on a complaint lodged by Antakala Kailas Tinkar (44), registered a case under Sections 302, 323, 504, 506(B), 143, 147, 148, 149, of the IPC read with Sections 37, 135 of Maharashtra Police Act. The accused Saurabh Pandhram has reportedly been arrested and the seven juvenile accused have been detained.
