“Spring Fest 2023: IIT Kharagpur’s Annual Cultural Extravaganza Enthralls Millions Online”

Spring Fest, the annual social and cultural festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, stands out as one of Asia’s largest cultural events organized entirely by students, reaching over 2 million online. Drawing participants from more than 800 major colleges across India, the 64th edition of Spring Fest took place from January 26 to 29, 2023.

The festival successfully conducted “Hitch Hike,” a nationwide preliminary round for a diverse range of artistic events, spanning Dance, Drama, Music, Fashion, and more. This exciting initiative unfolded across ten vibrant Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Chandigarh. Following the Prelims, Spring Fest is gearing up for the eliminations round in six more cities: Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Ranchi, Guwahati, and Raipur. Interested participants can register early for their desired events on eliminations.springfest.in.

The Battle of Bands, Wildfire, a premier rock band competition, is set to captivate audiences in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, and Shillong, offering a prize pool of 1.5 lakhs. Bands eager to showcase their talent can register on wildfire.springfest.in.

With 13 different genres and over 130 competitions, Spring Fest hosts a variety of events where India’s finest talents compete for a total cash prize of approximately INR 35 lakhs.
