Nagpur: The State Home Department has executed a reshuffle in the police force and transferred five Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officers on Monday. Former Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone V of Nagpur, Shravan Dath, who was awaiting appointment, has now been assigned the role of Superintendent of Police of Nandurbar district.
Chetna Tidke, currently Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in Nagpur, will take on the position of Additional Superintendent of Police in Ambejogai. With the transfer of DCP Tidke, the city will get a new DCP for the traffic branch.
Meanwhile, Bachchan Singh, who also was awaiting appointment, is set to become the Superintendent of Police of Akola district. Avinash Bargal has been appointed as the head of the Crime Investigation Department’s Amravati unit, and Pradyumna Patil, the outgoing Superintendent of Police of Nandurbar district, will now lead the CID’s Pune unit.
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police (CP) Amitesh Kumar transferred eight Senior Police Inspectors (PIs) in Nagpur on Monday. Notably, Woman PI Shubhangi Deshmukh, previously serving in the Crime Branch, has been entrusted with the responsibility of in-charge of the Hudkeshwar Police Station.
The Senior PI of Hudkeshwar, Prashant Mane has been relocated to the Crime Branch. Second PI, Hudkeshwar, Vikrant Sagane will now assume the role of Senior PI at Shanti Nagar police station. Simultaneously, Senior PI of Shanti Nagar Police Station Sunil Chavan has been assigned the crucial position of Police Commissioner’s Reader.
Further adjustments include the appointment of Commissioner’s Reader Vishwanath Chavan as the Senior PI of Wathoda police station. Senior PI of Kalamna police station Devendra Thakur has been transferred to the Economic Offences Wing, while Second PI of Hingna police station Gokul Mahajan is now stationed at Kalamna Police Station as in-charge.
Additionally, Senior PI of Wathoda police station Ganesh Jamdar has been assigned to the Human Resource Branch.
