Nagpur: Delhi Public School, MIHAN, recently hosted an enlightening workshop titled “Kids For Tigers” on January 9, 2024, targeting students from Grades VI and VII. The purpose of the workshop was to instill awareness and empathy towards nature among the young minds.
Ms. Ekta Bahiya, the coordinator of “Kids for Tigers” in Nagpur and an accomplished Motivational Speaker, led the informative session. She shared insights into various programs implemented nationwide to awaken, enlighten, and engage children in the crucial mission of saving tigers. These initiatives involve organizing diverse activities throughout the year, conveying the optimistic message that all carnivores and their co-inhabitants can rebound to safe numbers if nature is allowed to heal through undisturbed self-repairing mechanisms.
Ms. Bahiya emphasized the importance of such programs in helping children understand that nature is not merely a resource but a source of life itself. The students, comprising Grades VI and VII, actively participated in the discussion, expressing their admiration for the concept of wildlife conservation, its challenges, and the proposed solutions.
The workshop successfully created a platform for students to connect with the broader perspective of environmental conservation, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the delicate balance of nature. Through interactive discussions and Ms. Ekta Bahiya’s engaging presentation, the students gained valuable insights into the significance of preserving wildlife and the role they can play in ensuring a harmonious coexistence with the natural world.
