According to reports, Ravi had an affair with a girl Neha (name changed). Ravi’s friend Avesh, too, was after her. As she allegedly started avoiding Ravi the latter was disturbed. Avesh, who was obsessed with Neha, warned Ravi to stay away from her. Neha allegedly stopped receiving Ravi’s calls after he questioned her about her relationship with Avesh.

On Wednesday night, Ravi asked Avesh to meet him. Avesh and two of his friends went to meet him. Ravi again warned him to stay away from Neha. As Ravi was becoming a hindrance in their affair, Avesh and his friends Kunal Khadatkar and Ayush Pethe allegedly dragged him into a car and drove towards Outer Ring Road. They then took him to an isolated place behind the petrol pump at village Pandhurna and stabbed him with sharp-edged weapons, killing him on the spot. The killers fled the spot in the car.

On Thursday morning, Wathoda Police received a phone call from Police Patil of village Pandhurna informing them about the dead body lying in a pool of blood. Soon, police visited the spot. Police established the identity of Ravi after recovering his cell phone from the spot. Cops sent the body after the panchnama and registered a case under Section 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
