NMC acts tough against 14 Aapli Bus conductors for malpractices

Nagpur: Cracking the whip against Aapli Bus conductors indulging in malpractices, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s Transport Department on Monday deactivated IDs of 14 conductors including two females.

The conductors were employed with M/s Unity Security Force and Training Institute, Nagpur. During routine checks by the Inspectors, the 14 conductors’ performance was not up to the mark and also there were complaints about their working style. NMC has entrusted supply of manpower to the external agency and the former has well established rules that every employee working with Aapli Bus has to adhere to.

The surprise checks conducted from time to time exposed the modus operandi of the 14 conductors as travellers were found without ticket, issuing tickets at lower fares though distance was more, misbehaviour with travellers, using mobile while on duty etc.

After going through the report, Mahesh Dhamecha, Assistant Commissioner and Transport Manager, took disciplinary action against the erring 14 conductors. They are identified as Jadhav (ID-70514), Deepak Bhonge, Bhujade, Nitin Pardhi, Sangeeta Ingole, Nilesh Paunikar, all attached to Sitabuldi Depot; Anil Choure, Manohar Wasade, attached to Khapri Depot, and Sagar Tandulkar (Koradi Depot) and Kirti (Hingna Depot).
