Nagpur: Jaripatka Police in Nagpur on Wednesday arrested three goons for a murderous attack on a paan kiosk owner and his brother over an old rivalry.
Identified as Dagdu alias Ashish Samrat Bagde (28), Swaroop Deepak Nandeshwar (26) and Mohit alias Mouser Ravi Tirpude (26), the accused are the residents of New Indora, Barakholi, Republican Nagar.
The accused trio had an old rivalry with Aman Satyajeet Indurkar (24) who runs paan kiosk at Punjabi Line, Indora. Around 5.35 pm on Wednesday, Dagdu, Swaroop and Mohit came to Aman’s paan kiosk and picked up a quarrel with him. They thrashed Aman hurling obscene abuses at him. Aman’s brother Khushal (30) intervened to settle the dispute. However, Dagdu took out a sickle and attacked Aman and Khushal injuring them seriously. Injured Aman and his brother were rushed to Mayo Hospital.
Police took the accused trio into custody and registered a case under Sections 326,504, 34 of the Indian Penal Code against them.
Two notorious criminals externed from city
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-5) Niketan Kadam externed two goons from Nagpur City and areas falling under Khaperkheda, Kanhan and Mouda Police Stations in Nagpur (Rural) on Wednesday.
Notorious criminal Aryan alias Sagar alias Kachra Praveen Landge (22), a resident of Lane No 11, Republican Nagar, Barakholi, Jaripatka, who was involved in several serious crimes, has been externed for a period of two years. Many cases, including robbery, were registered against him at Jaripatka Police Station.
Similarly, Pankanj Rajesh Chauhan (32), a resident of Mecosabagh, Christian Colony, has been externed for a period of six months. Earlier, Jaripatka Police had initiated preventive action against Aryan and Pankaj as both the criminals were creating terror among the people. However, they continued indulging in criminal activities. Finally, DCP Kadam issued their externment orders.
