Nagpur: The email that threatened to blow up Nagpur Airport had reportedly come from Germany. After receiving the threatening email on Monday, April 29, regarding the possibility of bombing the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, chaos ensued. It has now come to light that this email originated from Germany. Reports have revealed that an investigation into this incident has commenced at a senior level.
Following the receiving of the threatening email at 9:45 am on Monday, the airport authorities promptly initiated investigation procedures. The airport management and administration swiftly began probing the matter. Senior police officials have provided information that suspects are being investigated.
Upon receipt of the threatening email regarding the potential bombing of the airport, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and local police immediately began conducting searches at the airport. The search operation included bomb detection and sniffer dog squads. No suspicious items were found during the inspection.
The threatening email received on Monday also prompted security measures at airports in Jaipur, Agra, Srinagar, Chandigarh, and Varanasi. The email contained threats of placing bombs at these airports as well.
Similarly, the Airport Director of Jaipur International Airport in Rajasthan confirmed receiving the threatening email and initiated search operations, yet nothing suspicious has been found so far. In Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur Airport also escalated security measures in response to the threat.
