MSEDCL’s ‘Urja’ Chatbot offers 24/7 online power consumer support

Nagpur: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has unveiled Urja Chatbot that is using artificial intelligence to provide answers about all services to about three crore consumers in the State.

The services are available online at the comfort of one click and Urja Chatbot is available 24×7 on MSEDCL’s website and also the mobile app to help consumers communicate using artificial intelligence. Through this chatbot in English and Marathi language, customers can ask questions about various services of MSEDCL and also get information about new electricity connection, electricity bill payment, complaint redressal etc.

The Chatbot called ‘Urja’ is developed by the Information and Technology Department of MSEDCL to ask direct questions about customer services and register complaints about various services. Always ready to serve the domestic, commercial, industrial, agricultural and other customers of the state, ‘Urja Chatbot’ is available on the website www.mahadiscom.in and mobile app.

Consumers can get to know current status of new electricity connection or application, electricity bill payment or electricity bill details, make fast electricity bill payment, mobile number and e-mail registration, online payment of various other charges, self meter reading and submission, go green registration, electricity usage and bill calculator etc. If you need information about MSEDCL’s electricity service, the relevant service will be available directly on-line for consumers through ‘Urja’. They will get the direct link to the respective service from this chatbot itself.

Along with this, complete information is available to the electricity consumers regarding power outages and other complaints including electricity bills. In this, information about MSEDCL’s 24×7 toll free number, ‘SMS’ number, e-mail, missed call service etc. is available through chat bot to lodge any complaint. A large number of electricity consumers are using the ‘Urja Chatbot, which has been operational since last March, and they no longer need to go to MSEDCL’s offices to get information about electricity services or register complaints.

Consumers who have registered mobile numbers can interact with MSEDCL through chat bot to avail various services by submitting mobile numbers or customer numbers. Also other customers can avail various services.
