Nagpur: In a bid to address the persistent issue of potholes on asphalt roads, Nagpur Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary inspected the state-of-the-art Insta Road Patcher machine on Monday. The demonstration was conducted by Grams Infratech Pvt. Ltd. on the road in front of Hislop College.
The monsoon season often leads to significant pothole formation on asphalt roads. To ensure these potholes are quickly and efficiently repaired, the Insta Road Patcher machine, based on IRP-GIPSAT asphalt technology, is set to be utilized. This advanced technology allows for the rapid patching of potholes, ensuring minimal disruption and increased road safety.
Mr. Govind Bajaj, Managing Director of Grams Infratech Pvt. Ltd., highlighted that the machine is capable of repairing both small and large potholes, making it particularly beneficial during the rainy season. He emphasized that the technology is environmentally friendly and demonstrated the machine’s ability to repair two potholes in minimal time using two separate units.
Present during the demonstration were Chief Engineer Rajeev Gaikwad, Superintendent Engineer Mr. Manoj Talewar, Executive Engineer Mr. Ajay Dahake, Mr. Vijay Gurubakshani, Deputy Engineer Pramod Mokade, and staff from the Dharampeth Zone.
This initiative marks a significant step towards maintaining better road conditions in Nagpur, especially during the challenging monsoon months.
