Nagpur: In a decisive operation on Tuesday, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of Nagpur Crime Branch unveiled a clandestine sex racket masquerading as a salon in Wardhaman Nagar, Nagpur, under the jurisdiction of the Lakadganj Police Station.
Acting on credible intelligence, the SSB team executed a well-coordinated raid at The Saloonwala Unisex Salon & Academy, bringing to light the illegal activities. Prity Shubham Shende, alias Prity Sahu (34), a resident of Flat No. 86, Shashtri Nagar, Lakadganj, was apprehended in connection with the case, and four women were rescued from the exploitative trade.
According to police sources, confidential information hinted at the operation of a sex racket within the premises of The Saloonwala Unisex Salon & Academy situated at Honey Indra Tower. Subsequent confirmation led to a swift police intervention, resulting in the seizure of materials valued at Rs 89,930.
The accused face charges under Sections 370 of the IPC, in conjunction with Sections 4, 5, and 7 of the PETA Act.
Leading the operation, Senior Police Inspector Kavita Isarkar, along with Police Constables Sachin Badhiye, Prakash Mathankar, Laxman Chaware, and other members of the SSB team, orchestrated the successful crackdown.
