18-hour shutdown in Dhantoli Zone: No water supply from July 4 afternoon

Nagpur: There will be no water supply in Dhantoli Zone in Nagpur on July 4 due to pipeline interconnection work being taken up by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Orange City Water (OCW) at Ashok Chowk. This 18-hour shutdown will begin at 4 pm on July 4 and will end at 10 am on July 5.

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) sub-contractor is carrying out the construction of a fly-over from Reshimbag Square to Ashok Square and further towards Indora Square. As part of this project, a 400 mm diameter water feeder main pipeline, which lies directly under the flyover foundation at Ashok Square, needs to be relocated.

During the shutdown, the following areas of the Dhantoli Zone will not receive water: Reshimbagh CA:- Om Nagar, Anand Nagar, Sudam Puri, Shiv Nagar, Durga Park, Shiv Park, Rajiv Gandhi Park, Nehru Nagar, Bhagat Colony, Gayatri Nagar, Old Shukrawari, and Old Nandanvan.
