Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is all set to operate 10 new e-buses for the MIHAN area from July 15. The decision was taken following the recommendations from the Association for Industrial Development (AID) and Maha Metro to enhance last-mile connectivity and improve transportation infrastructure in the MIHAN area.
A meeting on this issue was held on Friday at NMC office which was chaired by Ashish Kale, President of AID; Mahesh Moroney, Senior Deputy Chief General Manager, Maha Metro and Sanjay Rathod, Transport Manager, NMC. The participants discussed the initiation of feeder bus services operating in a continuous circular manner. The objective is to increase service frequency and improve connectivity between the Khapri Metro Station and the MIHAN area.
Rathod confirmed the commencement of 10 new e-bus services and said a trial run will start from July 10.Maha Metro has committed to provide charging facilities for the e-buses.
