Mild tremors were felt in Hingoli, Parbhani, Nanded, and Washim districts this morning (July 10) at 7:15 AM, spreading fear among residents. However, authorities have urged citizens to remain calm and not panic.
The District Disaster Management Cell reported a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale. Residents of Kalmanuri and Vasmat talukas, who frequently hear mysterious sounds from the ground, experienced the tremors. The sudden earthquake caused household items to fall, prompting people to rush outside in fear. The administration has assured citizens to stay calm and take necessary precautions.
Hingoli district has experienced multiple tremors in the past, but this is the largest recorded so far. The earthquake caused damage to mud houses in villages like Goregaon, Surajkheda, Majhod, and Kadoli, with some walls developing cracks. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
