102nd annual Urs of Baba Tajuddin begins from July 29 in Nagpur

Nagpur: The 102nd annual Urs of Hazrat Baba Syed Mohammad Tajuddin Rahmatullah will be organized by the Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Trust from July 29 and continue until August 10.

The opening ceremony featured a traditional flag hoisting (Parcham Kushai) at 9 am on July 29 by Raje Raghuji Bhonsale. This ceremony was presided over by Ameer Shariat Mufti Abdul Qadir, with renowned Muslim religious leader Maulana Mohammad Hashmi Miya in attendance.

The flag hoisting will be followed by Milad Sharif after Isha Namaz, and Maulana Hashmi Miya will deliver a keynote speech. Throughout the Urs, a series of religious programs will be organised, including Milad ceremonies, Qawwalis, and Sufiana Mehfil-e-Sama. Around 15 lakh devotees from across India and around the world are expected to flock to Tajabag for Urs.

The Trust has made extensive arrangements to accommodate the influx of visitors. A grand tent has been erected in Tajabag to provide adequate seating, and langar food will be served to the attendees. The Trust has coordinated with the district administration, NMC, City Police, and Health Department to ensure all necessary facilities and safety measures are in place.

The Trust, led by Chairman Pyare Zia Khan and Secretary Taj Ahmed Raja, along with Vice President Dr Surendra Jichkar and other members, has encouraged devotees to join in the Urs.

July 29: Parcham Kushai

July 30: Milad, speeches after Isha Namaz.

July 31: Milad followed by a Qawwali performance.

August 1: Milad followed by an International Sufiana Mehfil-e-Sama.

August 2: Departure of Shahi Darbari Sandal.

August 3-8: Various Milad Sharif ceremonies, Fatehas, speeches, series of Qawwali performances.

August 9: A collective prayer at the Dargah for prosperity, progress, and peace of the nation and humanity, led by Maulana Syed Alamgir Ashraf.

August 10: Final Qawwali performance following Isha Namaz.
