Nagpur: The three-month-long Water Conservation Drive, launched in April 2024 under the banner “जल संवर्धन, एक पहल, जो सँवारे कल…”, concluded on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26, 2024. Orange City Water (OCW), in collaboration with the Green Vigil Foundation, honored ‘Water Warriors’ for their outstanding efforts in water conservation and awareness drive at the IWWA hall.
The main goal of the campaign was to encourage individuals to be aware of water sensitivity by saving at least 3 liters of water daily and staying hydrated during the hot summer months to ensure citizens’ well-being.
Throughout the drive, OCW and the Green Vigil Foundation urged citizens to join this noble effort and take proactive steps toward water conservation. On Kargil Vijay Diwas, we recognized our ‘Water Warriors’ that included all age groups right from children to senior citizens. Children showcased their understanding of water conservation beyond imagination.
Citizens from various areas, including Ekatamata Nagar, Ganga Nagar, Kaikadi Nagar, Kaushalayan Nagar, Shayambagh, Gujjarwadi, Vinoba Bhave Nagar, Sangharsh Nagar, Bhim Wadi, and Khalasi Line, actively participated in this drive. This initiative demonstrates that together, we can create a sustainable future where every drop of water is valued and used responsibly.
