Nagpur: A young girl was run over by a train on the Nagpur-Delhi railway line near Clark Town in Jaripatka Police Station area of Nagpur on Tuesday morning.
Identified as Nikita Naresh Dasar (22), the deceased was a resident of Nai Basti, near Manoj Cycle Stores, Sadar. Around 9 am, the mutilated body of Nikita was found lying on the railway track near Pole No 1041/2. Cops sent the body to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem.

Biker succumbs to injuries sustained in mishap
In a tragic accident near Riyar Dairy at Parsodi in the Beltarodi area, a 24-year-old motorcyclist, Abhijeet Bholaji Pandhram, succumbed to head injuries sustained in a fall. The incident occurred around 8 pm on Sunday. Abhijeet, a resident of Parsodi, opposite Mangalmurti Flat Scheme, was riding a TVS Raider motorcycle (MH-40/CU-4269) belonging to his friend Vasant Dongre.
He lost control over the bike and collided with a cyclist, Khem Bahadur Karki from Motha Hingna. Riding without a helmet, Abhijeet fell off the bike and sustained severe head injuries. Both he and the cyclist were rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where Abhijeet later succumbed to his injuries.
Following a complaint by Aniket, Abhijeet’s 22-year-old younger brother, Beltarodi Police registered a case under Sections 106(1), 281, 125(a) of the BNS. Further probe is on.
Woman hurt seriously as truck hits her in Mankapur
An elderly woman was seriously injured after being hit by a speeding truck near the Passport Office turning on Mankapur Ring Road. Fearing public anger, the trucker fled the spot. With serious injuries, Usha Kishor Matey (72) was rushed to Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mankapur.
A resident of Lumbini Nagar, Usha Matey was going on a moped. A rashly-driven truck hit the septuagenarian from behind injuring her seriously. Mankapur Police are investigating the incident.
