The traffic department has issued a comprehensive advisory outlining 22 designated routes for the buses to enter the city. Additionally, 10 specific parking spots have been allocated for these buses to manage the expected traffic surge. The traffic restrictions are slated to begin early in the morning at 6 am and continue till 8pm, when the event ends.

In preparation for the event, District Collector Vipin Itankar and Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari are actively involved in arrangements. A series of review meetings have been held to ensure that all aspects of the event are well-organised. During one of the recent meetings, Bidari provided detailed guidance to various government departments regarding their responsibilities. This includes ensuring proper security measures at the main event venue, adequate seating arrangements for women beneficiaries, media arrangements, cleanliness, water supply, and transportation logistics.

Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari, Nagpur Municipal Commissioner; Saumya Sharma, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer, along with other department officials were present in the meeting.

The scheme is being implemented in the State with the aim of improving women’s health, nutrition and economic independence. Women are expressing that self-sufficiency can be met from the money received from the benefits of this scheme.

The scale of the event has necessitated meticulous planning and coordination among multiple government agencies to ensure its smooth execution. The traffic advisory is a key component of these preparations, aimed at minimising the impact on daily commuters while accommodating the large number of attendees expected at the event.
