Nagpur In a recent turn of events Nagpur faced chaos on Sunday as the fire department worked tirelessly to clear fallen trees and address complaints following heavy rains and thunderstorms on Saturday night. The intense weather caused flooding, waterlogging, and traffic jams, forcing the cancellation of events like Dahi Handi.
The fire department received 15 calls about fallen trees, mostly from Manewada and Manish Nagar areas, which were promptly resolved.
However, some residents in Ayodhya Nagar faced flooding in their homes, blaming the newly constructed cement road for the issue. This incident brings back memories of last year’s flash floods on September 23, which caused significant damage and losses. The city is still recovering from that disaster.
