Nagpur – In an important initiative to enhance cyber safety among students, Aachal Ramteke and Satya Bisen, dedicated Cyber Warriors from Priyadarshini College of Engineering, conducted an extensive cyber-crime awareness program at Providence Girl High School, Nagpur. The program is part of the ongoing “Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha” campaign, a collaboration between Quick Heal Foundation and Maharashtra Cyber, aimed at addressing the rising threats in the digital landscape.
The event was honored by the presence of the school’s Principal, Miss Marry, who expressed her appreciation for the campaign and its efforts in fostering a culture of cyber awareness. “In today’s digital era, it is critical that our students are not only aware of the threats but are also equipped with the tools to protect themselves. This initiative is a commendable step toward ensuring their safety online,” she stated.
During the session, Ramteke and Bisen covered a broad range of topics, including online scams, phishing attacks, identity theft, and cyberbullying. They provided practical advice on safeguarding personal information, such as using strong, unique passwords, recognizing suspicious emails and links, and updating privacy settings on social media platforms.
The program emphasized the importance of recognizing cyber threats, adopting preventive measures, and being aware of how to report cyber incidents. Students participated actively, engaging with real-life case studies and interactive activities designed to make the learning experience both informative and relatable.
The event concluded with students taking a pledge to be responsible and vigilant digital citizens, marking a successful effort to cultivate a generation of cyber-aware individuals.
