Similar Incident in Gondia District

A similar tragedy struck in Gondia district, where two young brothers drowned in a nearby stream. The incident occurred in Pongezhara Hiradamali village when the two siblings, Rudra (3) and Shivam (2), were playing on a low bridge. The bridge, which often gets flooded during the rainy season, became a death trap as the boys lost their balance and were swept away by the strong current.

Despite frantic searches by the family and local authorities, the boys’ bodies were discovered the following day floating in the water. The entire village has been left in mourning, with the grieving family struggling to cope with the loss.

Both incidents have left a deep mark on the affected communities, where joy quickly turned to sorrow as families and friends mourn the untimely deaths of these children. Authorities have urged parents to be extra vigilant during the monsoon season, especially around water bodies, to avoid such tragedies.
