Nagpur: Congress leaders and workers have taken to the streets in Nagpur, protesting against the controversial statements made by leaders of Shiv Sena and BJP against Rahul Gandhi. They have demanded action against the leaders who made these statements and raised slogans against the Mahayuti Government.
The protest was led by senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Vilas Muttemwar, along with Nagpur City Congress President and MLA Vikas Thakre.
BJP and Shinde faction leaders have been criticizing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on reservation. During the protest, Congress demanded action against Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad and BJP MP Dr Anil Bonde for their statements.
Congress held a strong demonstration at Variety Square in Nagpur, with workers surrounding the Sitabuldi Police Station and chanting slogans. Some Congress workers even tried to block the road by lying down in the middle of the street.
