Nagpur: Road accidents continue to claim lives in Nagpur unabated. In the instant incident, a woman was killed and her husband injured when a speeding school bus collided with their motorcycle at Dighori Square in Nagpur on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased, identified as 48-year-old Seema Sharad Dhore, was riding pillion on her husband’s bike when the accident occurred around 4 pm.

The couple, residents of Mungsaji Nagar, were going on a Hero Passion Plus motorcycle (MH-31/BS-5398) when the bus (MH-40/Y-6734) struck them near the Old Dighori bus stop on Umred Road. The bus driver fled the scene immediately after the crash. Seema Dhore was rushed to Yash Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries later that evening around 8.30 pm. Her husband, Sharad Yogesh Dhore (53), is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
A complaint has been filed by Seema’s brother-in-law, Satish Dhore (50), leading the Wathoda Police to register a case under Sections 106(1), 281, 125(a)(b) the BNS, read with Sections 134(a)(b), 177 and 184 of the MVA against bus driver.
