Seat-sharing formula among Mahayuti constituents likely to be decided during Shah’s visit

Nagpur: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Maharashtra which will start on September 24 from Nagpur. His visit is of importance as far as upcoming Assembly polls are concerned.

During his visit, Shah will interact with the workers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His visit is likely to finalise the seat-sharing formula among the Mahayuti constituents. Shah would meet with party functionaries in Nagpur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (previouslyAurangabad), followed by interactions in Nashik and Kolhapur on September 25.

In order to finalise the party’s election preparations in view of the upcoming Assembly elections, a meeting of the key officials of the BJP Vidarbha division has been organised at Suresh Bhat Auditorium, Reshimbagh in Nagpur from 11 am on Tuesday, September 24. Vidarbha Organising Secretary Dr Upendra Kothekar called a special meeting of the key officials in the Vidarbha divisional office located in Dhantoli on Friday ahead of Shah’s visit.

State Vice-President Sanjay Bhende, City President Bunty Kukde informed the office-bearers that Amit Shah would have a direct communication with the heads of all 62 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Vidarbha. Kukde said that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule will be specially present in the meeting.
