Nagpur: Crime Branch Unit-1 of Nagpur Police nabbed three notorious criminals and detected three burglaries and a vehicle theft case. Cops seized stolen gold and silver ornaments, a stolen motorcycle (MH40/DP-0216) and a Honda Activa (MH-49/BE-3093) collectively worth Rs 1 lakh from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Harjitsingh alias Garam Ajabsingh Grewal (32), a resident of HUDCO Colony, Jaripatka, Vicky alias Chari Arun Ingle (30), a resident of Siraspeth, near Mattipura Garden, Imambada, and Amol Ramrao Bodele (34), a resident of Kushi Nagar, Jaripatka.
The accused trio had burgled cash, gold and silver ornaments collectively worth over Rs 80,000 from the residence of Gautam Mohan Khobragade (30) at Trisharan Chowk, Wadi in the wee hours of July 26. During patrolling, a team of Unit-1 of the Crime Branch got information about accused Harjitsingh’s hideout. Soon, the team trapped Harjitsingh. During questioning, he told the police that he along with Vicky and Amol had burgled cash, gold and silver ornaments from Khoragade’s house.
Cops then picked up Vicky and Amol. Harjitsingh, Vicky and Amol spilled the beans during their interrogation and confessed to committing two more burglaries in Hudkeshwar and Kotwali police areas and a vehicle theft in Jaripatka.
The arrests were made by PI Suhas Choudhary and constabulary staff under the supervision of Additional CP (Crime) Sanjay Patil, DCP (Detection) Rahul Maknikar and ACP (Crime) Dr Abhijeet Patil.
