Mahayuti’s ‘Mission 45’ in Vidarbha: Amit Shah

Appealing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) party workers to strive for achieving victory in forthcoming State Assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Tuesday, said that the Mahayuti was working on ‘Mission 45’ in Vidarbha region. “All three alliance parties will work in tandem and I urge all of you to treat the other constituents of the Mahayuti like your own,” he said. Shah visited Nagpur on Tuesday and addressed a meeting of BJP office-bearers and workers to discuss the issues related to the Assembly polls and chalk out a poll strategy. The meeting was conducted at Kavivarya Suresh Bhat Hall, Reshimbagh. Bhupendra Yadav, In-charge of the party for Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister; Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of Forests; Chandrashekhar Bawankule, State BJP President; Shivprakash, Joint Organising Secretary; Raosaheb Danve, Union Minister; Anup Dhotre, Akola MP; Hansraj Ahir, ex-Union Minister and Ashok Nete, former MP; Shrikant Bharatiya were seated on the dais. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was not in atttendance.

Shah furtyher said, “Strive to get maximum seats in Vidarbha. Remember, if BJP falls short then the Congress would become stronger.” Narrating his own example when the then BJP President Kushabhau Thakre had denied him a ticket, Shah said, “Thakre told me that a loyal volunteer of the party is expected to understand the party leader and his reservations. On some occasions, I am likely to take some harsh steps but don’t feel bad and don’t get angry.” Shah further urged the party workers, “If we remove our intra-party differences, half the battle is won.” Shah warned the party workers that groupism will not be tolerated. Revealing the booth-wise polls strategy, Shah explained, “Take efforts to increase 10 per cent voting at Category A booth and try to raise 10 per cent votes of BJP at the Category B and C booths. Do a proper planning for Mandal-wise meetings. Atleast conduct 5-7 meetings daily.”

Amit Shah was presented with a memento of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by the BJP functionaries, Devendra Fadnavis, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Chandras-hekhar Bawankule, Raosaheb Danve, Anup Dhotre, Bunty Kukde, President of BJP City unit; Sudhakar Kohle, BJP District President, Shrikant Bharatiya, MLC. Randhir Savarkar, BJP State General Secretary, conducted the proceedings while Sanjay Bhende, BJP State Vice President, proposed a vote of thanks. Kailash Vijayvargiya, Pravasi Sampark Mantri for Nagpur; Chandrashekhar, Telangana Organising Secretary; Hitanand, State Organising Secretary; Faggansingh Kulaste, Madhya Pradesh Minister; other prominent leaders Rishikesh Patel, Prahlad Patel, Narottam Mishra, Vishwas Sarang, Manohar Reddy of Telangana and others were seated in the audience. Shah had one separate meeting with top leaders after the first meeting. Earlier, Amit Shah reached Nagpur by the aircraft of Border Security Force at around 2 pm.

He was given a rousing welcome at Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. He stayed for three hours in city and then left for Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar by the same flight. He was accompanied by Bhupendra Yadav, Fadnavis, Bawankule, Shivprakash. At Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, he will be holding very important meeting to be attended by Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister, both the leaders of other constituent parties. At Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, the seat sharing formula is likely to be decided.
