Nagpur: A major disruption occurred during a program by rationalist Shyam Manav in Nagpur, as members of the BJP Youth Wing (BJP Yuva Morcha) aggressively stormed the event. The protesters accused the gathering of being politically motivated, aimed at supporting Congress rather than addressing superstitions, which Shyam Manav is known for challenging.

A large number of BJP Youth Wing activists entered the venue, chanting slogans and accusing the event organizers of using it as a political platform. “This event is not about eradicating superstition, but purely to push a political agenda and support Congress,” they claimed.

As the chaos unfolded, Shyam Manav was seen on stage, attempting to proceed with the event, while the activists caused a commotion below. Just before Manav’s speech, BJP workers started shouting slogans, forcing authorities to intervene. The police made efforts to remove the disruptors, trying to restore order.

Despite the uproar, Manav remained seated on stage. Supporters of Shyam Manav, who had gathered to listen to his speech, also tried to counter the protesters, further escalating the situation.

In response to the disruption, Shyam Manav stated, “The constitution is under threat in Nagpur, a city where people with diverse ideologies used to coexist peacefully. I am not new to such situations. Despite the chaos, my speech will continue 100%.”

Meanwhile, tensions rose between the event attendees and the BJP Youth Wing members, with accusations from the latter that the program was politically driven. However, supporters of Shyam Manav argued that the event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers to India’s constitution, not to promote any political agenda.
