Nagpur: Wadi Police in Nagpur on Thursday cracked the murder mystery of 55-year-old Subhash Gulab Borkar, a paan kiosk owner and a bootlegger whose death was allegedly linked to an altercation over sale of a liquor bottle on credit.

Cops apprehended Rohit Balakram Malvi (26), an earth-moving machine operator and a resident of Ashirwad Nagar, following investigations that pointed to him as the assailant. Borkar, who had physical disabilities and was also involved in the illegal sale of liquor, refused Malvi’s request for a liquor bottle on credit. This rejection led to a heated argument, during which Malvi reportedly killed Borkar by striking him with a stick and subsequently smashing his head with a boulder.
