According to police, on October 8, at 10.30 pm, Kamlesh was on duty at the company gate when Manohar arrived. Manohar was intoxicated and demanded entry into the company. A verbal altercation ensued between the two which escalated into a physical fight. Manohar struck Kamlesh on his head with an iron rod and caused severe injuries, the police said.

The company’s owners, Suresh Chandani and Dharmesh Suresh Chandani, attempted to conceal the crime by staging an accident. They transported Kamlesh to a hospital under a false name and instructed Manohar to flee the scene. Kamlesh succumbed to his injuries two days later at the hospital.

MIDC police initially registered a case of accidental death. However, when Kamlesh’s son, Vijay Patel, reported his father’s disappearance, a thorough investigation was launched. Through careful examination of medical records and witness statements, the police uncovered the truth behind the murder. Manohar was arrested in Yavatmal, and a murder case was registered against him and the company owners. Suresh and Dharmesh Chandani remain absconding and are being actively sought by the police.
