Nagpur: Prominent businessman and well-known philanthropist, Devidas Jaiswal, passed away late Tuesday night due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 83. Originally hailing from Yavatmal, Jaiswal was a self-made entrepreneur who carved a unique identity through his dedication and perseverance.
A resident of Shivaji Nagar Hill Road, Jaiswal made Nagpur his karmabhoomi (land of action) and established numerous businesses across the country. Known for owning ventures such as Hotel Hardev, Jaiswal made significant contributions to the hospitality industry and various other sectors.
Beyond his entrepreneurial achievements, Jaiswal was deeply committed to social work. He actively participated in several charitable activities, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
His final journey will commence on Wednesday at 12:30 PM from his residence at Shivaji Nagar Hill Road. The funeral will be held at his farmhouse in Mohgaon, Wardha Road.
Jaiswal is survived by his wife, Nirmala Devi Jaiswal, and three children – Vishal, Vaibhav, and Vaishali Jaiswal. His demise has left family members, friends, and well-wishers in deep sorrow. Tributes have poured in as people remember him for his remarkable contributions and selfless service to society.
