Nagpur, Maharashtra – Shri Tushar D. Sakhare, Senior Commandant/CASO of CISF Unit ASG Amritsar Airport, has been conferred with the prestigious President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day 2025. A resident of MIG-58, Vaishali Nagar, Nagpur, Maharashtra, Shri Sakhare is a dedicated and accomplished officer with an illustrious career spanning over 19 years.
Joining the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on 23rd September 2005, Shri Sakhare has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational expertise throughout his career. Serving in 12 different CISF units across the country, he has earned a reputation for his administrative excellence and strategic vision.
Notably, during his tenure at CISF Unit ECL Sitalpur, Shri Sakhare spearheaded a successful campaign against coal mafias. His leadership led to 11,814 raids, the recovery of 65,672.154 metric tonnes of coal worth ₹37,97,32,524/-, and the registration of 3,384 police complaints. Additionally, his efforts resulted in the arrest of 416 miscreants, significantly impacting illegal coal activities.
Shri Sakhare’s exceptional contributions also extend internationally. He has represented the CISF and India on two United Nations Peacekeeping Missions, where his service earned him two UN Medals, reflecting his dedication to global peace and security.
Further, Shri Sakhare has been honored with the Director General Commendation Disc and Certificates in 2015, recognizing his outstanding performance across various assignments. These prestigious awards stand as a testament to his unparalleled commitment to duty.
