NVCC Burns Effigies of LBT Department, Cyber Crime, and Online Shopping Frauds During Holi Celebrations

Nagpur Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC), the leading trade organization representing 1.3 million traders in Vidarbha, hosted its annual Holi Milan gathering for traders on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Press Club, Civil Lines, Nagpur. As part of the celebration, NVCC symbolically burned effigies of the Local Body Tax (LBT) Department, rising cybercrimes, and fraudulent online shopping practices.

NVCC President Arjundas Ahuja extended warm greetings to all traders on the occasion of Holi. He noted that the Maharashtra government has announced the closure of the LBT department. Traders remain hopeful that the government will soon resolve all pending LBT-related issues and expedite the refund process for pending dues.

NVCC Secretary Sachin Puniani highlighted the alarming rise in cybercrimes and urged traders to remain vigilant while conducting online transactions. He also appealed to the police administration to take stricter measures to curb cyber fraud.
