Nagpur: Members of the National Executive of Round Table India met at Hyderabad recently to take stock of the happening in the previous quarter under National President Tr. Suman Vora and discussed the way forward under National President (Elect) Tr. Manpreet Sing Raja.
Round Table India (RTI), an organization of young men between the age group of 18-40 years, has a hierarchy wherein the Tables report to the Area Board consisting of 14 Areas at present who in turn report to the National Board.
The Board meeting was attended by 80 Tablers staying across the length and breadth of the country who form part of the National Board.

On July 1, 2016, National President Tr. Suman Vora reconvened the 5th National Executive Meeting of the year. The National Board recognized the efforts of the Tables in various activities like extension, fellowship and publicity. The Board also recognized the efforts of a few Table Secretaries, Table Treasurers for their dedicated services to the movement.
The major point of discussion was the long-term goal of Freedom Through Education, wherein the Board was updated that a total of 5377 classrooms in 2172 schools at an outlay of Rs. 179.19 crore have been built impacting about 5.92 million children. The Board was also upraised about the support of P&G and Coca Cola in supporting our projects. The National Board was also informed that S. Chand and Publication has decided to donate 300 books per school. This gesture will also benefit the schools built by Nagpur Round Table 83.
On July 2, 2016 National President (Elect) Tr. Manpreet Singh Raja convened the 1st National Executive Meeting of the year. The conveners presented the plan for the year ahead with some new initiatives being taken up by Round Table India. Notably it was decided that 30 schools will be shortlisted on a pilot project basis for the solar lighting that will help schools run without depending on power from electricity board. With great pride, a school built by Nagpur Round Table 83 at Parvati Nagar, was shortlisted to be one of the 30 schools to be taken up as pilot project. Another feather on the cap of Nagpur was that Tr. Piyush Daga from Nagpur Round Table 83 was appointed on the Fund Raising Committee on the 55th National Board of Round Table India.
