Young boy possessing pistol, cartridge arrested in Tajbagh

Nagpur: Crime Branch sleuths arrested a 21-year old boy for possessing a country-made pistol and live cartridge.

A team of policemen, led by Police Inspector Lokhande, was on patrolling duty in Sakkardara Police Station jurisdiction and was looking for criminals on record. The team received information that a person was carrying a country-made pistol and was roaming near Ekta Colony Square, Tajbagh. Acting on the information, the Crime Branch team reached the spot and detained the person. Upon frisking, the accused was found possessing a country-made pistol and one live cartridge collectively valued at Rs 20,500.

The accused, Sheikh Nadeem alias Raja Sheikh Nazim (21), resident of Ekta Colony, Tajbagh, was booked under Section 3+25 of Arms Act read with Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act and was placed under arrest.

The Crime Branch team comprised of PI Lokhande, API Pradeep Atulkar, PSI Rajput, constables Milind Moon, Sanjay Deokar, Sudhakar Dhandar, Nrusinha Damahe, Ramkailash Yadav, and Satish Nimje.
