Nagpur: DCP Ravindra Singh Pardeshi (Zone-2), DCP Shreeprakash Waghmare and CBI inspector Arvind More have been honoured with the President’s Police Medal for their distinguished and meritorious service.
DCP Pardeshi was recently posted in Nagpur city. Pardeshi joined the police force as Deputy SP in 2002.
He played an important role in controlling naxalite activities in naxal affected areas of Gadchiroli from 2005 to 2008. Nearly, 46 naxalites had surrendered before Pardeshi and his team. He was also instrumental in conducting peaceful elections in Gadchiroli.
Earlier, Pardeshi held the post of additional superintendent of police, Pune rural (2008-10) and Osmanabad (2010-2012).
During his posting at Baramati as additional superintendent from 2012-2015, Pardeshi very effectively liquidated highway burglars at Baramati.
In 2015, Pardeshi was posted as Commandant SRP in Navi Mumbai. Here, he took special efforts in removing water scarcity problem by involving police personnel who dug ground wells in the area.
Pardeshi gave the credit of his success to his family, senior officials and friends. Similarly, DCP Shreeprakash Waghmare and CBI inspector Arvind More, who were earlier posted in Nagpur, too have been honoured with President’s Police Medal for their distinguished and meritorious service.
