88,190 farmers received Rs 859.62 crore kharif crop loan in district: Kurve

Nagpur: The District Collector Sachin Kurve on Wednesday said that a total of 88,490 farmers in the district have been disbursed Rs 859.62 crore towards kharif crop loans till August end this year. This is 110 percent of the set target, Kurve stated.

“The target set for the month of July has been achieved. Last year, crop loans were given to 88,433 farmers which was 90 percent of the target. Similarly, in 2014 till August, kharif crop loans of Rs 442.97 were disbursed to 55245 farmers. The percentage was 59. 38516 farmers were disbursed with Rs 435.91 crore loan in 2013 till August end, the District Collector said.
