As a goodwill gesture, the SNDL has also organized ‘New Service Connection’ camps in these areas to promote legalized power supply. SNDL has also expressed hope that with each such drive combining action and education, the number of cases of power theft through hooking and even other modes of theft may decrease over a period of time. The franchisee has decided to initiate its other reach-out programmes also to connect with consumers, especially students, and educate them about the impeding dangers of power theft besides the anti-social nature of this activity.
