Nagpur: A guest lecture by Dr Monai Krairiksh organised at P.I.E.T. on topic “Remote Sensing of Physical qualities of Fruits” resulted in quite a beneficial outcome for students and interested researchers. As suggested by Dr. Monai in his lecture about the use of novel microwave based technique for nondestructive determination of properties of Nagpur oranges, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between P.I.E.T. and King Mongkut’s University to work on real time application of this method.
Principal Dr V M Nanoti and Vice Principal Dr G M Asutkar took the initiative and announced to work on project “Non destructive determination of physical qualities of Nagpur orange”. A team of third year students from Electronics and Communication, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering headed by Dr. G. M. Asutakr and Professor Kapgate will work on this project.
On behalf of King Mongkuts Institute, Ladkrabang, Bankok, Dr. Monai Krairiksh gave his consent and signed the Memorandum of Understanding in presence of Principal Dr V M Nanoti, Dean Research and Development P.I.E.T Dr S B Deshpande, Head of the Department Electronics and Communication Department Professor S A Chaturvedi.
