Road named after Virath Zade who died in school bus accident

Nagpur: Naming ceremony of a road coming under Prabhag 64 and Prabhag 59 after Late Virath Zade was held at the hands of Deputy Mayor Satish Holay on Tuesday. The road in front of Jai Mahakali Temple in Khankhoje Nagar was named as “Late Virath Zade Marg.”

Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Hanuman Nagar Zone Chairperson Swati Akhatkar, Prabhag Corporators Raju Nagulwar, Nayana Sanjay Zade, Assistant Commissioner Raju Bhivgade, Executive Engineer Kanti Sonkusare and others.

Virath Zade, son of Corporator Nayana Zade, had died four years ago in a school bus accident. The death of Virath brought to the fore the safety concerns of school buses and the kids travelling to their schools. The concerned authorities stepped in immediately and formulated safety rules for school buses. The road on which Virath lost his life was appropriately named after him. NMC deserves appreciation for this gesture, the Deputy Mayor Holay said.

Corporators Swati Akhatkar and Raju Nagulwar also expressed their thoughts and paid homage to late Virath Zade.
Others who attended the function include Mahakali Mandir Panch Committee’s Digambar Khobragade, office-bearers, Jyestha Mandal’s President Madhukar Dhoke, Balaji Nagar Hanuman Mandir’s President Madan Pethe, Janardan Bansod, Adv Nitin Deshmukh, Dr Gauri Zade, Prof Sanjay Zade, and other prominent citizens of Prabhags.
