Nagpur: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who completed two years in office, was accorded a rousing welcome by a large number of BJP leaders and workers at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, on Monday.
Talking to media outside the airport, Fadnavis first paid rich tributes to martyred soldier Nitin Koli from Sangli. “Because of the soldiers standing guard at borders, we sleep well in our homes,” said Fadnavis while extending Diwali greetings to armed forces.
“I thank people for electing me as Chief Minister of the State. During the past two years, the State Government launched the ambitious Jal Yukta Shivar project through which over 4600 villages have been connected. In the next three years, 20,000 more villages will be connected with the scheme that will ensure ample water availability. The BJP Government is making efforts to put Maharashtra at Number One position in the country,” the Chief Minister said.
