Sonam Kapoor may have been riding high with her successful delivery of Neerja this year but it was a rather unfortunate night for her at a recently held award show. The actress, who paid a tribute to yesteryear actress Rekha, with a performance on her popular songs, was replaced by Deepika Padukone, last minute, when it came to give away the award.
According to a report in a tabloid, Sonam was initially supposed to present the Lifetime Achievement award to Rekha. But eventually, the honour was done by Deepika, who confirmed her presence last minute at the event.
Interestingly, Deepika attended the show on one condition, that she would be given the opportunity to present the award. The organizers, who wanted more stars in attendance, agreed for the same, leaving Sonam in a fix.
